A Life Poured Out for the Kingdom
Dr. Janice Holman and her husband, Glenn Holman, served faithfully as the Senior Pastors of Mamre Christian Center in California's Central Valley. As a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, educator, mentor, and visionary leader, Dr. Holman dedicated her life to discipling believers and teaching practical application of the Word of God. Her passion was to help individuals understand how to live the abundant life (zoe) God intended while fulfilling their God-given purpose on earth.
For more than 31 years, Dr. Holman taught and ministered throughout the United States, London, Jamaica, and Africa, impacting countless lives through biblical instruction, leadership development, and spiritual empowerment. In 2011, what began as a ministry training program evolved into a Bible Academy after Dr. Holman received the vision to expand the work and reach believers around the world who hungered for truth, sound doctrine, and spiritual growth.
The Academy was established as a non-denominational institution focused on teaching the scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments while equipping believers to become effective Christian leaders and disciples of Jesus Christ. Through affordable and accessible biblical education, students were immersed into a deeper and more intimate relationship with Christ while preparing to serve their communities, ministries, and future generations.
In 2019, the vision expanded again with the formation of Mamre Christian Bible College, entering a new era of biblical education, leadership training, and doctrinal teaching. Dr. Holman believed strongly that God was raising up leaders for such a time as this and worked diligently to prepare believers for ministry, service, and spiritual maturity.

Her Legacy Lives On
On February 24, 2026, Dr. Janice Holman passed away, leaving behind a powerful legacy of faith, leadership, education, and kingdom service. While her passing marked the end of an extraordinary earthly journey, the vision she established continues to grow and move forward in a new direction. Today, Mamre Christian Bible College remains committed to carrying out her mission — expanding educational opportunities, strengthening leadership development, embracing workforce and community initiatives, and continuing to equip disciples of Jesus Christ for impactful service throughout the world.
As the institution grows into this next chapter, the foundation laid by Dr. Holman continues to inspire the college's commitment to spiritual growth, academic excellence, servant leadership, and community transformation.
Our Journey
Ministry Training Leadership Program (MTLP)
Inspired by the vision of Apostle G. Nutt to establish a ministry training program, Dr. Holman made the program a reality by establishing Mamre Educational Institution.
Mamre Educational Institute (MEI)
MEI became a faith-based institution focused on teaching the uncompromising Word of God, equipping believers to become effective Christian leaders and disciples of Christ.
Mamre Christian Bible College
MCBC began operating as a private religious institution providing faith, theological, and ministry education. The institute functions under California Religious Exempt Provisions.
A Legacy Carried Forward
The college remains committed to Dr. Holman's vision with the expansion of new technology and opportunities, continuing to equip disciples of Jesus Christ for impactful service.
