We Believe
The following statements of faith represent the foundational doctrinal convictions upon which Mamre Christian Bible College was established and continues to stand. These beliefs are drawn directly from the Holy Scriptures and guide every aspect of our teaching, community, and mission.
The Holy Scriptures
2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:21
We Believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible (unalterable) Word of God written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The Triune God
Matthew 28:19 · 1 John 5:7 · Deuteronomy 6:4
We Believe that the true and living God is triune, coexisting in three persons — the Father, the Son (who is the Word made flesh) and the Holy Spirit. God is totally and eternally loving, holy, righteous, all powerful, all wise, present everywhere; the creator, ruler and redeemer of all mankind and the entire universe. God the Father is the head among equals of the trinity.
Jesus Christ — Son of God
John 1:1,14 · Isaiah 7:14 · Luke 1:35 · John 14:6
We Believe Jesus Christ is genuinely God and truly man. He came to reveal and bring us to the Father. The Holy Scriptures state He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was and is the true and only Messiah (the Christ); begotten and sent of God the Father.
Holiness of Life
1 Peter 1:15–16 · Romans 8:1–4 · Galatians 5:22–25
We Believe the Christian's life of Holiness is God's prescribed and commanded behavior resulting from the new indwelling nature birthed and enabled by the Holy Spirit.
Death, Resurrection & the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · Acts 1:9 · Acts 2:1–4 · John 14:16–17
We Believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit — that Holy Ghost which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago — and it is this same Spirit that is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today.
